Docs / Voice agents

Share an agent

A public demo page and an embeddable call widget.

Every client agent can have a public page where anyone can talk to it from a browser, plus a call button you can embed on the client’s website. Use it for demos, lead capture, or a “talk to us” button that never sends visitors to voicemail.

Plan: Requires a plan that includes public agent links. By default, every plan does.

Before you start
  • The agent belongs to a client, not the agency workspace. Visitor minutes bill to that client’s plan, which is what caps the spend.
  • The agent is published and has a successful deployment of its current version. See Test and publish.
  • An active subscription.
  • You can build agents. Client admins can only publish a link if their workspace has been given that permission.

What you get#

  • A hosted page at https://your-portal-address/a/link-name, branded with the client’s title, description and colour. The address is your custom domain if you’ve verified one, otherwise your workspace address. See Custom domains.
  • A website widget: a floating call button in the corner of the client’s site that opens a call panel.

Visitor calls use the client’s plan minutes and stay within the limits you set.

Set up a public link#

  1. Open Share
Open the agent from Agents and switch to the “Share” mode. You see “Share this agent on the web”.
  2. Create the link
Click “Set up public link”. Wozena creates a draft with default settings.
  3. Fill in the page
Work through “What the visitor sees”, “Consent” and “What it can cost you”. The preview on the right follows your edits; switch between “page” and “widget” to see both.
  4. Save or publish
Click “Save draft” to keep your settings without going live, or “Publish” to make the link public. Later edits use “Publish changes”.

Until you publish, a banner counts your unsaved edits. Once the link is live, it reads “the live page still shows the previous copy” until you publish the changes. “Discard” drops them.

What the visitor sees#

FieldWhat it does
“Link name”The last part of the page address, after /a/. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, up to 64 characters. Pick it before you publish: renaming a live link would break embed code already on websites.
“Page title”The headline on the page.
“Description”A short explanation under the title, up to 500 characters.
“Call button”The button text on the page and the widget. Default: Talk to our AI agent.
“After the call”The message shown when a call ends, for example Thanks — we’ll follow up shortly.
“Accent colour”Colours the page’s orb, call button and live badge. Leave it unset to use your agency’s brand colour.
“Button position”In the “widget” preview: whether the widget button sits bottom “Left” or “Right”.

Consent and recording disclosure#

The “Consent” section is shown before the browser asks for the microphone. Visitors read it, and pressing the call button is their agreement.

FieldWhat it does
“Recording disclosure”Tells visitors the call is recorded, for example This call is recorded and transcribed…
“Privacy URL”A link to the privacy policy that covers these calls.
“Terms URL”Optional link to terms of use.
Important
You can publish without a disclosure, but visitors then reach the microphone prompt with nothing to read first. Recording and consent rules vary by place. Agree the wording with your client before you publish.

What it can cost you#

A public link can be called by anyone, so these controls cap the spend. Visitor minutes come out of the client’s plan.

ControlDefaultWhat it does
“Concurrent calls”5How many visitor calls can run at once, from 1 to 100.
“Calls per visitor per hour”3How many calls one visitor can start in an hour, from 1 to 100.
“Business hours”Off (available at all times)When on, visitors can only call during the hours you set. Outside them, they see when you open.
“Websites allowed to embed the widget”NoneThe sites where the widget may load, up to 20. Type a hostname such as example.com and press Enter. The hosted link always works.

The panel shows the worst case: if every line stayed busy for an hour, that’s concurrent calls × 60 minutes of the client’s plan. With the default of 5, that’s 300 minutes.

Call length

Each visitor call ends at the agent’s “Max call length”, set under “Call timing” in the agent’s “Voice & Settings”. If the agent sets no call length, visitor calls stop after 5 minutes. See Voice, language and call settings.

Pre-flight checks and publishing#

The “Pre-flight” card beside the preview checks the link before it goes live. “Publish” stays disabled until every blocker is cleared.

CheckBlocks publishing?
“Agent is deployed”Yes. The agent must have been deployed at least once.
“Agent is published to your workspace”Yes. The agent can’t be a draft.
“No unpublished agent changes”Yes. The agent’s current version must have a successful deployment.
“Owned by a client”Yes. Agency-workspace agents can’t be shared publicly.
“Recording disclosure is written”No, but recommended.
“Call length comes from the agent”No. Without it, calls stop at 5 minutes.

When it succeeds you see “Public link published” (or “Public link updated”) and a “Live” bar with the address.

Try it without using a public slot
The “Authenticated preview” card places a test call from inside the app. It doesn’t use one of the link’s concurrent-call slots, but it’s billed like any test call.

Copy the link, embed or QR code#

Once the link is live, the “Live” bar has everything you need to hand it out:

  • “Copy link” copies the page address.
  • “Embed snippet” opens “Install the widget” with the code to paste into the website and a “Copy” button.
  • The QR code button shows a code for the link, with “Download PNG” for print.
  • “Open page” opens the public page in a new tab.

Install the widget

  1. Allow the site
Add the site’s hostname to “Websites allowed to embed the widget”, then publish. The widget won’t open on sites that aren’t listed.
  2. Paste the snippet
Copy the code from “Embed snippet” and paste it just before the closing body tag, in a shared layout or footer so it loads on every page. The dialog lists where that is in WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace and Google Tag Manager.
  3. Reload the site
A button with your “Call button” text appears in the corner you chose and opens the call panel.

Which agent version visitors hear#

Publishing a link pins the agent version that’s deployed at that moment. If you later publish changes to the agent, the link stays on the old version and the Share page says “Visitors are talking to vN”. Choose “Move link to vN” to switch visitors to the new version, or “Keep vN live” to stay put. Nothing changes under a visitor mid-call.

Take the link offline#

Click “Take the link offline” at the bottom of the Share page. You see “Public access disabled”, and the page and widget stop taking calls. This always works, even if a plan or subscription has lapsed. Publish again to bring it back.

Refusal messages#

MessageWhat to do
“Public links require a client-owned agent so usage has a billing cap.”Share an agent created in the client’s workspace. Agents can’t be moved, so build or import one there. See Create an agent.
“Publish the agent to your workspace before publishing it publicly.”The agent is still a draft. Publish it in the builder first.
“Publish the agent itself first so this link can pin a deployed version.”The agent has never been deployed. Publish it and wait for a Deployed entry in History.
“This agent has unpublished changes. Deploy it again, then publish the link.”The agent’s latest version has no successful deployment. Click Publish changes in the builder, then publish the link.
“That link name is already used by another agent”Choose a different link name.
“Renaming a published link breaks the embed code already installed on your websites. Confirm to rename it anyway.”Keep the current link name. If you must change it, take the link offline, rename it, publish again, then replace the snippet on every site that uses it.
An upgrade or subscribe messageThe workspace needs an active subscription on a plan with public links. See Your Wozena plan.

Troubleshooting#

The widget doesn’t appear on the site

The hostname isn’t on the allowed list, the link isn’t published, or business hours have calls closed. The widget shows nothing rather than a button that fails when clicked.

The widget opens a new tab instead of a panel

The website blocks microphone access inside embedded frames, so the widget opens the call page in a new tab instead. That’s deliberate.

The microphone prompt shows the wrong address

Without a custom domain, the browser’s microphone prompt shows your platform subdomain. Verify a custom domain to keep it branded.

Visitors hear old behaviour

The link is pinned to an older version. Use “Move link to vN” on the Share page.
